Migrant workers form very close friendships with their fellow workers: they work each other 18 hours a day. Workers not simply migrate to earn money only, many people migrate for the desire to have new experiences see new people, new places, make new friends. There are many talks about the “poor and pool factors” (poverty at the village, higher income at the factory) but there is something more: the desire of people about excitement. Several workers decide not to return home but to go and live in Guangzhou for its perceived degree of “excitement”.
